I have to say Newks is my goto place. I can't believe there aren't many reviews. The place is always packed during lunch and dinner hours. We went on a Sunday after church and it was packed, yet the food quality & service were both superb. We had the Shrimp Po' Boy and the Spicy Shrimp Pizza. Amazing! Must try if you are looking for both fast and healthy options. One of the best in Bham!

Their mushroom soup was definitely good for any vegetarians on the look out for good places. The ambiance is good and menu with prices aren't too upish!!

Food and service was good however I was disappointed with the amount of noise from the music noise coming from Gold's gym. I would recommend sitting closer to the front of the restaurant rather than the rear to avoid the noise.

REALLY A GREAT SALAD!!! And I am pretty picky about a salad. Has to be fresh, has to be unique, has to be better than throwing lettuce on a plate that looks like it came out of a bag. We went twice.... Both times great salads! The husband had tomato basil soup... and we were again pleasantly surprised. Really-really-good!!! VERY BUSY. Finding a table might be a challenge but worth it!!!

AMAZING! great for lunch and an awesome place to take a family. Rec: sandwiches are BY FAR the best in town. Salads are HUGE and are great as well. You cannot go wrong with this place. Do not miss out.

If you've ever wanted the convenience of a sit down restaurant without all the formality, Newk's is your place. Everything on the menu is "good" and from my experience, it's one of those restaurants where you find a favorite item, and end up ordering that item every single time. There is a wide variety of things that Newk's does well including pizza, salads, and soups, with the dessert items adding an awesome finish to a great meal. The store is always clean, and service is friendly and sociable!

Love Newk's! The 'Newk's Q' sandwich is my favorite, you can also get it as a pizza, just as good. Always get the food out fast and super friendly!

I assumed this place was garbage considering their logo/branding is absolutely horrid, but after giving the place a chance I found the food is pretty decent. Restaurant decor/ordering is fast food plus, but clean. I tried the Cobb salad and bacon Mac n Cheese and was pleased with both.

Pros: Some of the best soup to be found in Birmingham. Very clean and friend staff. Half sandwich was just right The Newk's Q is my fave. Cons: Located in a congested strip mall. Have a few "soup of the days". Need more variety and menu.

Newks has the best Diet Coke in town. Always fresh with the perfect ratio of carbonation to syrup. This Newks is always busy during lunchtime but the wait for food is very short. They seem to be very organized and the staff is always friendly. I love the Toasted Turkey Sandwich and Ceasar Salad combo. I order this often and it's surprisingly consistent in size and taste. The booths are very comfy and even though it's a very large space, the restaurant seems warm and inviting. The food is good but it's my addiction to a delicious Diet Coke keeps me coming back.

This Newk's opened pretty recently. After much debate, I copied my dinner companion and got the half-sandwich and salad deal for around $8. I wouldn't say the menu items were especially memorable or unique, but they're solid. I thought the sandwich was a little too mini but at least the large salad and free breadsticks from Italy helped to soften the blow. The condiment station was very impressive. It's not everyday that you see capers for the taking. Last but not least, the peanut butter crispy was fantabulous. Just like if a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup had a baby with a Rice Krispies Treat. And the bathroom sinks are very posh-looking.
